Jesus is coming to rule over the entire earth as King of all kings! I can hardly wait. The wonderful promises of God's Word will be fulfilled. No more sickness; no more suffering... I get really excited thinking about what it'll be like. I am not just hoping... I am waiting with anticipation.

I think she might be pleased and even a bit surprised. I have been gifted with many of the blessings in life I had hoped adult life would bring; a loving and safe family, an opportunity to give a hand to others in payment to those who gave so much to me, moments of pure joy in being alive. She might be surprised that I have learned to endure and even be grateful for the trials of life. All in all, she might enjoy my company as I have made an intentional effort to show kindness to children like her who really need a safe adult in their lives whenever God gives me the opportunity. I am sure there would be things she'd be disappointed about but in the end, she'd see that God has helped her become a strong woman of faith that she could depend upon in good times and bad.
